Summertime & Sunkissed Sips!

Can you believe it is already June?! I don't know about you, but I am so ready for sunshine and NO MORE rain! I am excited to share with everyone this month's featured wine. Be ready for a great refreshing beverage while you soak up the sun. I want to introduce you to a wine that is not only delicious but has great health benefits.

To start your summer off right grab a bottle of....

Conch Whispers

Conch Whispers - A light sweet wine with a great watermelon flavoring. Refreshing on a hot summer day.

Watermelon on a hot summer day and in beverage form! YES PLEASE! It's a simple and sweet treat to enjoy. This of course is one of our many specialty wines that we can hardly keep in stock. Thank's to our master winemaker Cheri, this gem of a wine was created! This of course is one of our sweeter wine selections, but still has many other benefits other than just it's tasty sip.

Today I would also like to share a neat way for chilling your glass of wine on the hot summer days instead of putting your bottle in the freezer, having to wait for it to chill, or fogetting it's in there then having a frozen bottle "Yes, I have done this". Here is a method called the "Teabag Method" it's quick, easy and works!

What kind of person is so desperate for a glass of wine they can’t wait 60 minutes!’

Answer – EVERYONE! :)

Introducing The Wine Tea Bag Method

Step 1 – fill your wine glass half full of ice so you only use the right amount of cubes

Step 2 – pour the ice cubes into a small plastic bag

Step 3 – fill your wine glass to the very top with room temperature wine

Step 4 – leave it for 3 minutes – giving it the occasional tea bag dunk to mix the wine

Step 5 – remove the bag, clean it and re-use it for another time (I hate single use plastic – and so should you!)

Step 6 – your wine will now be chilled to perfection. Cheers!

Now for more watermelon, it seems to be the topic for today. Here is a refreshing recipe, this is not necessarily a wine pairing idea. Needless to say it is still delicious and always a hit for a summertime backyard BBQ.

Watermelon Salad with Feta and Cucumber

This watermelon salad is full of sliced cucumbers, crumbled feta cheese and mint, all tossed in an easy lime dressing. A simple yet unusual summer salad that's sure to get rave reviews.

Before I end this Month's blog, I would like to share a photo that was taken after all the rain we had gotten. It was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen. I hope this photo brings a smile to your face as it did mine especially after such a year! Always look above and keep moving forward! Just a reminder that there has to be rain for there to be a rainbow. I hope everyone has a wonderful Month of June!

Also, don't forget to stop by and have a wine slushy, flavors always depend on the day but they are all refreshing and delicious. Cheers to summertime!
